Neil Maybury was educated at King Edwards School, Birmingham before obtaining his LL.B from the University of Birmingham. He then joined Clifford Turner (now Clifford Chance) and was admitted as a solicitor in 1969. He is now recognised as one of the most experienced and highly regarded Intellectual Property Lawyers in the UK. During his long and varied career he was successively Head of Intellectual Property at Pinsents, Group Head of Intellectual Property at DLA and a partner in the Intellectual Property and Commercial Department of Hammonds before setting up on his own account in 2003.

He has received a mention or a recommendation in The Legal 500 and Chambers’ Guide to the Legal Profession virtually every year since 1990. His extensive business experience outside the legal profession has earned him praise from his extensive client base as being a lawyer who really knows how to use the legal system to really benefit the commercial interests of his clients.

Gillian Salt

Gillian Salt started working for Neil Maybury as his secretary at DLA, and since leaving this firm has worked with him at Maybury & Co for many years. In addition to secretarial duties Gillian acts as senior administrator within which she is head of administration for the firm.
